THE STORY

Inspired by Red Hat's goal of developing a platform open to inputs from any meaningful direction, the design features a central hub, that functions as a hinge, connecting the existing Red Hat premises in Hong Kong to the new spaces designated for expansion. The "old" and "new" areas blend seamlessly into this scheme, with the block dedicated to social and collaborative activities, deliberately juxtaposed between the two.

This strong statement is intended to be a way to enhance peer communication and brainstorming, but at the same time maintain privacy and high acoustic requirements.

Along with this, the office has been aligned to the internal Red Hat "work your way" standard, converting some dedicated enclosed offices into agile rooms, redefining the open space experience, and responding to the latest technology requirements.

The material and colour palette address neuroscientific principles, with the ultimate goal of improving the cognitive attention of workers and reducing environmental stress.
